The Proposed Kansas Health Science Center – Kansas College of Osteopathic Medicine Is Granted Candidate Status

The proposed KHSC – KansasCOM has been granted candidate status by the Commission on Osteopathic College Accreditation (COCA). With candidate status, the proposed KHSC – KansasCOM will now work toward applying for pre-accreditation status. The proposed KHSC – KansasCOM may not recruit, accept applications from, or admit prospective students until it reaches pre-accreditation status. Third party comments regarding this application or other questions or comments regarding the proposed KansasCOM may be sent to COCA at or COCA, c/o AOA, 142 E. Ontario Street, Chicago, IL 60611.

With the goal of opening in 2022, the proposed Kansas Health Science Center – Kansas College of Osteopathic Medicine’s mission is to train the osteopathic physician of the future to provide effective, empathetic, and innovative care to optimize the health of patients and their communities.
